Procurement irregularity at a multi-entity trading group
A listed group’s audit committee received an anonymous tip that a category buyer in a Kowloon warehouse entity was steering orders to a newly formed supplier. Management had already suspended the buyer but had no case file — only a shared inbox of forwarded emails.
Ai Processnet opened Case AF-2409, preserved mailbox extracts, and tested twelve months of purchase orders against delivery notes and bank payments. Fieldwork confirmed inflated unit prices on six SKUs and overlapping beneficial ownership between the supplier and a relative of the buyer. The findings memorandum was issued in week seven; counsel then handled recovery and police referral.
